Day 1: San Diego, CA to Richfield, UT (650 miles)
Today we finally got on the road after months of planning. We're heading to Colorado Springs to the official start of the 2004 Posse Ride. But first, we have 1,200 miles to get there. Today we crossed four states - CA, NV, AZ and UT. We experienced triple digits through the desert and low 60's and rain coming into Utah. Beautiful scenery, great roads, and glad to finally be on the road. (You can always click on images for a larger picture.)

Today we needed to get down the road so we only had time for a short diversion outside of Cedar City, UT up into Cedar Breaks National Park where the vistas at 10,450 were spectacular.
