Day 13: Missoula, MT to Billings, MT (355 miles)
Today was an easy day and we decided to sleep in a bit. We hit the road at 8:30am certain we were the last riders to leave Billings, but we soon encountered others also enjoying Highway 12 East through Big Sky Country. Montana is so expansive and so glorious, it's almost unbelievable. Mile after mile of gently rolling hills and lightly forested mountains spread out before us, with the occasional herd of cows or sheep dotting the horizon and canyons. At the side of the road, as we watched a deer as it watched us, we half expected a cowboy on horseback to mosey up to us to chat about the weather . . . which was perfect by the way. This stretch of road will stay in our memories forever.

Anywhere we stopped along the road to stretch our legs offered us something special to capture in a photo.
