Day 14: Billings, MT to Rapid City, SD (540 miles)

Despite the high mileage, today was a very easy riding day. We passed through four states: Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. We stopped in Forsyth, MT, home of Dogies (yes, as in get along lil' doggies) and enjoyed the biggest and best Chicken Fried Steak breakfast in the entire United States. We're only sorry that we didn't get a picture, but it didn't last long on the plate. We ended this 12 hour day in the saddle with a visit to Devil's Tower in Wyoming (you know...mashed potato hill....Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind). It is fairly impressive both near and far.

Hundreds of riders posed at the entrance to each state to "prove" that they had ridden across the state line.

Devil's Tower is a huge destination for many Harley Riders. There is even a biker's rally which ends at Devil's Tower.
