Day 3: Golden, CO to Colorado Springs, CO (75 miles)
Today was a quick ride from Golden, CO to our official Posse Ride kickoff point in Colorado Springs, CO where we met friends from previous Posse Rides, Route 66 and Lewis & Clark rides. It was a great homecoming for 600+riders. We took a quick ride over to the Garden of the Gods National Landmark to witness some of the most amazing rock formations. All of us then found our way to the Flying W Ranch for a true-to-life Chuckwagon Supper, complete with scalding cups of cowboy coffee in tin cups, and live western music and comedy. Dinner was accompanied by torrential rain, lightning and thunder, all which added to the authentic cowboy meal.
