In
2000, after almost 40 years of riding motorcycles, I embarked
on a Harley-Davidson-organized cross-country ride called
the Posse Ride: Sea to Shining Sea with hundreds of other
Harley riders. We went from San Diego, California to Tybee
Island, Georgia. Hooked on the Harley-Davidson organized
rides, in 2001 my fiancée, Christine, and I went
on the Route 66 ride from Chicago, IL to Santa Monica, CA
with 1,000 riders. In 2002 Christine (now my wife) and I
went on the Lewis and Clark: Corps of Discovery Journey
from St. Louis, Missouri to Seaside, OR. In 2003 we made
the journey to Milwaukee for Harley-Davidsons 100th
Anniversary. This year, Christine and I will embark on another
Posse Ride called the Lower 48 and travel
with 500 other riders through the 22 states west of the
Mississippi.
